After Using AI to Write Daily Reports, I Gained 30 Extra Minutes Every Day

The daily sales report is probably one of the most useless yet mandatory tasks in the workplace. I used to spend an average of 20 minutes writing one: flipping through notes, trying to remember who I talked to today, what their situation was, what I scheduled for next time -- and then I still had to craft the language so it didn't read like a running log. Twenty minutes a day, 100 minutes a week, 400 minutes a month -- that's an entire workday spent just on this.

Then I started using Tuji's AI reporting feature. The time to write a daily report went from 20 minutes to 3 seconds. The extra 30 minutes I now spend making calls, meeting customers, and analyzing why deals were lost.

How Does AI Write Daily Reports?

Tuji automatically reads through all of your follow-up records for the day: customer needs from WeChat screenshots, key decision points from call recordings, and follow-up statuses you manually entered. Then the AI generates a fully structured daily report, including: today's key customers and follow-up details, identified customer needs and pain points, next follow-up plans, and issues requiring manager support.

You can copy it to your company's OA system with one click, or submit it directly in Tuji. The entire process takes no more than 10 seconds.

What Did I Do with the Extra 30 Minutes?

First, making phone calls. Things that can't be worked out over text can be resolved on a call. Before, because daily reports consumed so much time, I was stuck in a cycle of being too busy to follow up properly. AI helped me break out of that cycle.

Second, analyzing lost deals. I used to have no time for reviews -- a lost deal was just lost, and I never knew why. Now with an extra 30 minutes each day, I pull up the full follow-up history of lost customers, review it carefully, and have discovered several patterns: customers who weren't followed up within 48 hours of receiving a quote had a pitifully low close rate.

Third, preparing in advance. Good salespeople don't improvise on the spot -- they prepare ahead of time. I use this 30 minutes to research the industry and latest developments of customers I'm meeting tomorrow, and prepare targeted talking points.

Did Report Quality Decline?

At first I worried the AI-generated reports might be too much like a running log. It turned out the AI wrote reports that were more structured and more informative than my manual ones -- because it actually reads through all my follow-up records before generating the report, rather than me piecing things together from memory.

The purpose of tools is to free up your time so you can do what machines can't: think, make judgments, and build relationships. AI writes the daily report, saving you time and improving the quality of your sales work. Want to learn more about daily report writing techniques and templates?
